Oliewenhuis Art Gallery
A neo-Cape Dutch manor house where State presidents stayed on their visits to the city.  A great place to have a picnic on the sprawling lawns also a tea garden and restaurant

Naval Hill & Franklin Nature Reserve
Rising from the heart of the City, flat topped Naval Hill offers magnificent panoramic views.   On the plains the Franklin Nature Reserve is found, giraffe, springbuck, ostriches, buffalo roam freely.  The Lamont Hussey Observatory inside the game reserve was converted into an intimate theatre.

The Botanical Garden
The only in the Free State – beautiful gardens to view - great picnic spots as well as a lapa.

The Orchid House
Step into a tropical oasis of lush greenery, a circular wooden walkway taking one around this tiny jungle full of charm.  With its astonishing colour and beauty, each type of orchid makes this visit well worth while

Loch Logan Waterfront
Loch Logan Waterfront and surrounding areas form the entertainment and leisure hub of Bloemfontein.  It includes the rugby, cricket and athletics stadiums.  The tranquil setting incorporates the natural beauty of the surroundings as well as commercial flair.

Windmill Casino & Entertainment Centre
The Windmill Casino is the all encompassing family playground in Bloemfontein with Diamond Lil’s, 7 Restaurants, “Super Bowling”, “Sweets from Heaven” and “Marche Rouge” to delight you.  

State President Swart Park, King’s Park & the Zoo
These parks are a blaze of colour almost all year round.  Kings Park was opened by the Prince of Wales in 1925 – the popular Art Market is held here every 1st Saturday of the month.  The Zoo can be enjoyed by  young and old – a great place to enjoy a picnic.

 

The White Horse
The huge white horse is seen against the slopes of Naval Hill.  The horse was laid out during the Anglo Boer War by men of the Wiltshire Remount Depot as a landmark for horsemen coming in from the plains

The City Hall, Appeal Court, Fourth Raadsaal, Supreme Court, Old Presidency & First Raadsaal.
These magnificent buildings are all historically important and well worth a visit.

Bloemfontein National Museum
The National Museum, Bloemfontein promotes an understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of the natural and cultural environment through, conservation, research and education.
 

Queen’s Fort Military Museum
On the brow of the hill the Old Fort was erected during 1848.

 

Freshford House Museum
The old world charm offers visitors a glimpse into the lifestyle of the 1890’s.

  The National Women's Monument
A sandstone shrine, a celebrated example of South African sculptured art created by Anton von Wouw. This Obelisk to the memory of the women and children who perished during the Second War of Independence and the War Museum adjoining it are well worth a visit.
 

Twin  Spired Church
The only twin-spired Dutch Reformed  Church in South Africa. The building was completed in 1880

 

The Rugby Museum of Choet Visser
The museum and the collection of veteran and classic cars, motorcycles and motor mobilia of Waldie Gryvenstein.

  The Unit Museum
1 Special Service Battalion contains articles dating back to the year 1933
  The School of Armor
A fine display of tanks and weaponry as well as one of the original military hospitals
